Shaggy Ink Caps - (Coprinus comatus)
A cluster of Shaggy Ink Caps - (Coprinus comatus), the shaggy scales of which turn from white to pink and then to black. The gills of these specimens are begining to liquefy.The fungi were found in woodland, beneath a large tree, on the banks of the river, near to Branston, in Staffordshire, England.

Triggerfish
A triggerfish at Carla Santa Galdana on the south coast of Menorca, Spain. It was about the size of a large dinner plate in height and about half as much again in length. I was at a depth of 2m when it first grabbed my camera housing. Each time it made a grab for my camera, I used my free hand to grabbed hold of it, at the base of its tail. It was very powerful and pulled me around in circles. The encounter lasted for about 10 minutes in total. This was the parting shot as I managed to back away from it.

Ostrich - The Sharp End
This ostrich was a reluctant subject. It was behind a low fence, but each time I raised my camera to take a picture, its head would swoop down and peck at my lens. After about 20 minutes, I finally got the shot I wanted. The location was east of Southern Cyprus, near the UN buffer zone, overlooking Famagusta.

Yarrow, (Achillea millefolium), is a common wild flower with flat clusters of white or pinkish flower heads on stems up to 75cm high and feathery leaves. Funky Fungi
On a day out at a park with the grandchildren, we spotted the fungi while we were sitting at a café. I went over to investigate and came back with this picture. There were several children playing in the grass and dogs were running around, but surprisingly it had remained intact.
