An old wooden hulled rowing boat on the bank of a pond at the Seaview Wildlife Encounter, Seaview, Isle of Wight, England. The boat was resting under the shade of a tree and the deteriorating bow, was bursting at the seams, with a row of exposed nails. Old boats are left in locations like this, for the benefit of the wildlife.
The Handsam Too, cruising along the River Avon at Evesham, Worcestershire, England. The boat was built in 1934, it can carry 55 passengers and has been operating as a pleasure cruiser on the River Avon at Evesham, for about 20 years.

The marina is linked to the Trent and Mersey Canal, and this part is next to the A38 road, which is a major trunk road that passes through the Midlands. The late afternoon sun was creating bright reflections on the still water adding more colour to the scene.
Pictured are members of a rowing club on their early Sunday morning practice. The cold weather and overnight snow has not deterred them, in fact there were lots of team members on the river that morning. The location is the River Trent at Stapenhill near Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, England.

This photo shows the Trent & Mersey Canal, at The Wharf, Shardlow. The first hot spell of the year had prompted many people to go out onto the canal, and the local pubs appeared to be doing a good trade as well.
This location is Ironbridge in Shropshire, England. These two twin hulled boats were loaded up ready for a trip on the River Severn. I saw these same boats a few hours later at Bridgnorth, which is the next town along the river.
