Boats on the Frozen Burton Canal

The harsh effects of winter are very apparent in this waterway photo. The Trent and Mersey Canal at Horninglow Basin, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, England, had frozen over, trapping a line of moored narrowboats. Then, a layer of snow followed by a severe hoar-frost, completed this wintry scene.
