Ashby Canal at Moira Furnace

Ashby Canal, at Moira Furnace in Leicestershire. The partly restored canal, originally completed in 1804, ran for 30 miles between Bedworth, Warwickshire and Moira; without locks. It began to decline in 1918, with the start of mining subsidence.
