Burton Bridge and The River Trent

Burton Bridge and the river, at Burton on Trent in Staffordshire, England. This scene, captured from Newton Road Park, shows the main four lane road bridge and the extension, which carries the narrow Meadow Road. This narrow road, leads to the tall buildings pictured, other homes and some sports grounds. The river is wide at this point, after it has encircled one of several islands in the Washlands area.
