Freshwater Bay From Tennyson Down

A view looking down on Freshwater Bay from a viewpoint on Tennyson Down, Isle of Wight, England. Freshwater Bay is a small cove and area of the large village of Freshwater, on the south-west coast of the island and is located about three miles east of The Needles in an area known as West Wight. The poet Tennyson came to live and write here in the 19th century. The view shows some of the buildings, roads, downs, beach and the chalk cliffs.
