Robin Hood's Bay, Harbour This is the point where the main street ends in a slipway to the ocean. At low tide around three miles of beach are exposed, but the tide turns rapidly and can catch out the unwary. At high tide the ocean comes nearly all the way up the slipway, and during storms it can even creep up the main street. The location is Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire, England.
