HMS Ledbury (M30), off Cowes

HMS Ledbury (M30) making way in the Solent, with Fawley oil refinery pictured beyond the distant Hampshire shore line. The scene was photographed from Cowes beach, Isle of Wight, England. The Royal Navy ship is a Hunt-class mine countermeasures vessel. She was launched in 1979, carries 2 diving support boats, is armed with several guns and has a glass reinforced plastic hull. Her sister ship is HMS Chiddingfold.
