Shaggy Ink Caps - (Coprinus comatus) A cluster of Shaggy Ink Caps - (Coprinus comatus), the shaggy scales of which turn from white to pink and then to black. The gills of these specimens are begining to liquefy.The fungi were found in woodland, beneath a large tree, on the banks of the river, near to Branston, in Staffordshire, England.
