Bone Crushing Mill, near Ashford-in-the-Water The derelict Bone Crushing Mill on the bank of the River Wye and on the edge of Great Shaklow Wood, near Sheldon and also Ashford-in-the-Water, Derbyshire, England. The water powered mill was also used for wood turning, bobbin making and sawing. Crushed bones may have been used for fertilizer and in the production of pottery.
