A close-up view of a flower head of a Lacecap cultivar of Hydrangea macrophylla. The central flower head has clusters of pink fertile flowers is surrounded by a marginal ring of larger white sterile ray-flowers. This popular deciduous garden shrub flowers from mid to late summer and was photographed in the Lost Gardens of Heligan, near Mevagissey in Cornwall, England.
