![]() Ravenscar Village A village scene in Ravenscar, North Yorkshire, England. This view, looking along Raven Hall Road, shows the wooded avenue entrance to the Raven Hall Hotel. Bearing to the right, the road becomes Station Road and this leads to the now disused railway station, the tea rooms and just a few other buildings. The coastal village of Ravenscar is known as the town that never was. Victorian planners in the late 19th century, had hopes to build a holiday resort at Ravenscar, but the public were just not interested and only a handful of houses were ever built.
