18th Century Sailing Ship Rudder

Boats moored on Carsington Water near Hognaston in Derbyshire, England.An 18th century sailing ship rudder, displayed beside the harbour at Bridlington, East Yorkshire, England. The plaque states; it is copper sheaved and fitted with a brass pinkle and gudgeon. It was caught in the trawl net of a local fishing vessel.
