Dr Samuel Johnson Statue, Lichfield

A seated statue of the famous lexicographer and writer of the first authorative English Dictionary, Samuel Johnson, (1709 to 1784), who was born in Lichfield. The statue is located in the Market Square at Lichfield in Staffordshire, England. In this same square, there is also a statue of his biographer, James Boswell.
