Whitby Memorial Bridge

Whitby Memorial Bridge, at Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. The footbridge which links The West Pier with the West Breakwater, or pier extension, is dedicated to two local soldiers who lost their lives whilst serving in Afghanistan. The soldiers were: Corporal Damian Lawrence MiD of the 2nd Yorkshire Regiment, killed on 17.2.2008, aged 25 and Craftsman Andrew Found of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, killed on 16.6.2011, aged 27. Whitby Memorial Bridge was opened in July 2012.

The War Memorial at Staithes in North Yorkshire, England. The memorial commemorates those who lost their lives in service during the First and Second World Wars. The Roll of Honour is extensive and includes soldiers and personnel from the Navy, Mercantile Service and woman Munitions worker during the First World War. The list from the Second World War includes, soldiers and personnel from the RAF and the Merchant Navy. An inscription on the second tier of the pedestal reads; Staithes War Memorial, To perpetuate the memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice for King and country during the Great War 1914-1918.

The War Memorial is located near to the top of the village, close to the Captain Cook Inn.

The memorial, which stands in gardens opposite St Ia's Church at the top of St Andrews Street, commemorates the men of St Ives who lost their lives in service during the First and Second World Wars. A plaque in the gardens states that; the War Memorial and gardens are built on land given by Sir Edward Hain 181-1917 and his family.

It was photographed in 2009 after being restored, following an act of vandalism.

Standing on a corner at the junction of High Street and Church Road, the memorial commemorates the servicemen who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars, and also one man who died in the Korean War and one man who died in the Falklands conflict. The stone cross, has an octagonal pedestal, standing on a tiered base. On the same site is a Royal Marine Commando Memorial.

Crich Memorial Tower

The Crich Memorial Tower, also known as Crich Stand is a lighthouse tower which was built in 1923 as a memorial to the men of the Sherwood Foresters, who died in service during the First World War. It was later dedicated to the memory of men of the regiment who died during the Second World War and also in later conflicts. The tower is located at Crich in Derbyshire, England and stands at the summit of Crich Hill. Its beacon is one thousand feet above sea level.
